  12. Haryana

VoWiFi service is a great way to overcome network coverage issues.

It helps users to place audio calls via a WiFi network instead of using the telco’s network.

That means you can use the service even if flight mode is enabled on your smartphone.

It provides a great voice calling experience even if the network is not strong.

There are three things you need to enjoy VoWiFi calling service:

  1. A smartphone that supports VoWiFi calling facility
  2. A WiFi Network
  3. An active voice calling plan in your SIM card

You can check whether your smartphone supports VoWiFi calling by visiting the smartphone’s website.

Telecom companies aren’t charging any additional fees from the consumers for using the VoWiFi facility.

But again, an active voice plan is needed.

This facility is generally introduced to overcome the network congestion problem users face while placing a voice call.

VoWiFi Calling Facility Status of Other Telecom Providers in India

In India, this facility has not been rolled out to all the states by any telecom operators.

Each of them is rolling it out state by state.

Talking about the competitors of Vodafone-Idea, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio has rolled out this facility to a few states.
