Instagram Rolls Out Question Stickers For Music Recommendations

Popular Photo and Video sharing social network “Instagram” is testing another feature called Vertical Stories. Alessandro Paluzzi first spotted this feature and shared the screenshot on Twitter.

As can be seen in the tweet above, with Vertical Stories users can swipe up and down to browse stories.

A company spokesperson told Techcrunch about the feature, an early prototype which may not be public in future.

Swiping Up and Down on your mobile screen to view one story to another gives the user a natural experience in comparison to swiping left and right and tapping on the screen as we can see most of the content we browse on Mobile Web have vertical swapping experience.

Many believe Instagram’s Vertical Stories feature is inspired from TikTok and it feels right because Instagram has a track record of copying features from other platforms. For example, Instagram’s Reels are inspired from TikTok, Stories are inspired from Snapchat and so on.

In addition to these features, Instagram right now is struggling to establish a place for videos on Instagram that gains the much user attention. Right now, Instagram allows several places where users can publish a video that ranges from time limited to short to long videos. These places are say – Feed, Stories, Reels, Long Videos on IGTV. Even Instagram’s head Adam Mosseri has accepted the same in a report from The Verge.
