Google Pay Delete Transactions

One can now easily transfer money in between the USA and India in Google Pay as the app has integrated Western Union Money Transfer and Wise in it.

Google Pay users in the US can now transfer money to Google Pay users in India. Google Pay has partnered with Western Union Money Transfer and Wise to let its users in the US to easily send money to its users in India and Singapore.

Well, for now, although Google Pay users in the US can send money to the Google Pay users in India and Singapore only but in a recent blog post, Google has confirmed by the end of this year, Google Pay users in the US can send money to more than 200 countries via Western Union Money Transfer and to 80 countries via Wise.

How to Transfer Money in between the USA and India in Google Pay?

First, a Google Pay user in the US searches for a Google Pay user in India to whom the money has been transferred.

Then enter the amount that has to be transferred.

Then select either the Western Union or Wise to initiate the transfer.

The app displays the exact amount the user receive on other side in his currency. See the below screenshot to get an idea of the same.

As you can see in the photo below the amount in USD is converted to SGD before the transfer is initiated.

Western Union has offered unlimited free transfer until June 16

Do note that, until June 16, 2021, the Western Union had offered free transfers upto a maximum of $50,000 per transfer via Google Pay. Wise, on the other hand, has offered free transfer upto $500 for the first transfer. However, one can send a maximum of $2000 in one transfer via Wise but will have to pay the processing fee.

One can’t initiate the fund transfer in between a business and an Individual account

Do note that, with this service, a GPay account in the US can’t send money to an individual or business account in India. The service can be used only in between individual GPay accounts.
