In a recent move, Reliance Jio Bans Porn Websites in India. We are totally aware that Jio brings the cheap data revolution in India. Hence, if the data is cheap then it is sure that its usage will be massive. The same thing happens with Reliance Jio. Moreover, if we talk about the highest data consumption it occurs because of the video. Now, Talking about the Video data, Jio users use it for erotic contents too. Therefore, it seems like Reliance Jio Bans Porn Websites in India.
Note that Uttrakhand High Court has already ordered all the ISPs to block Pornographic Websites and contents. Moreover, Back in August 2015, DOT also orders all the ISPs to block 800 porn sites. DOT even threaten them that if they will not fulfill their decision then they will even cancel their license.
Now, Talking about the Pornographic content ban by Jio. This news first came up into the limelight when some of the Reddit users complain they are not able to access porn sites like Pornhub, Xvideos etc. Blocking Porn sites is really not a solution because one can easily access it via Tor or VPN Network. Moreover, Some of the users also report that those websites are easily accessible via UC Browser. Blocking Child Pornography is one thing, officials must have to take serious strict actions against those who do that.
Seems like Pornography Ban is right now happening only with Jio because we can’t see any users complaining Pornography bans in other Telecom Providers.
