Nvidia isn't attending Mobile World Congress 2020 seeing Coronavirus Outbreak

Yesterday, California based GPU and Chipset making company Nvidia announced they aren’t not sending their employee to attend Mobile World Congree in Barcelona this year looking at the health risks around the Coronavirus. Mobile world congress is the largest mobile event in the world, and this year it is happening between February 24-27.

In a blog post, Nvidia said they had informed GSMA about they aren’t attending the event. GSMA is the organizer of the MWC 2020 Barcelona event.

The absence of Nvidia in the event means less talk of Artificial Intelligence. Nvidia said they look forward to presenting their work about AI, 5G, and vRAN and also regret not to attend the event but told that’s the right decision they have made.

Choosing not to attend MWC 2020, Nvidia now became the fourth exhibitor to follow the league. Besides, Nvidia LG, Ericsson, and ZTE are the ones who earlier announced they aren’t attending the event. The reason is the same, Coronavirus global outbreak.

Well, on one side where Nvidia chooses not to attend the event, some companies choose to attend the same event. A report from the Verge confirms Qualcomm, Lenovo, Motorola, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Honor are attending the event.

At the time of writing this article, the dealth toll because of the Coronavirus outbreak rises to 745, and around 30,000 cases are found infected with the same virus. In India, till now, there are three confirmed cases of Coronavirus, all three of them are from Kerela.
