Microsoft Defender Android
Microsoft Defender Android

Back in February last year, it was reported Microsoft may introduce its Defender Antivirus for Linux and Android. Now, after a year the app has been made available in Google Play Store. However, the app is not a freeware as right now only business or enterprise users having a valid Microsoft 365 E5 license are able to use it.

Now, although Google Play Store already protect us from the Malicious apps via the Google Play Protect, Microsoft Defender protect us both from the Malicious APK files and websites. The app also blocks malicious background connections from apps that already has installed on the user’s device.

As per the Google Play Store listing, the app is available by the name Microsoft Defender ATP Preview. Also, right now while writing this article, this 9.3MB sized app has been downloaded more than 1000 times. Let’s see whether Microsoft make this app available for free in coming days or not, however, if you have a valid Microsoft 365 E5 license then you can download, install, and use this app from here.
