Intel is calling this new flaw by the name Variant 4 which is also known as Speculative Store Bypass. Let us tell you that Intel Spectre Meltdown flaw targets chips manufacturing companies like Intel, AMD, Arm etc. Through this flaw, the attacker can reveal sensitivity information from your CPU. Popular devices that integrate Intel chips in their devices i.e. Intel, Apple, Microsoft has safely sent security patches to their devices. However, Initially, experts say that because of these securities patches the performance of devices drops to 2-8%.
How does the Variant 4 flaw work and Which Sensitive information it Reveals?
This security flaw runs scripts in your Device programs in a miscellaneous manner. Take your browser as an example. If this script runs in your browser, it will reveal all the sensitive information of the browser. For example, ID passwords of different websites, Browsing history etc.
Moreover, Intel officials say that now they have overcome with this flaw. They rated this as a medium risk.
