YouTube Desktop Now Supports 1.75x Playback Speed. Till now, there are a total of 7 playback speed options present on YouTube Web. These speed options are 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, Normal, 1.25, 1.5, and 2. Playback speed is an additional feature that increases or decreases the speed of Video Playback.
To locate this option on YouTube Web, first click on the gear icon ⚙️ and there you find speed option present there. Clicking on speed option reveals all the playback speed options YouTube have. Although Playback speed feature is not generally used, however, it is useful sometimes.
For example, This feature is useful in cases like while you watch Training Videos, Terrible Fan videos or any videos which you quickly want to get over with. Playback speed feature are set to integrate in Web applications when HTML5 came into existence.
Well if you ask my opinion about the usefulness of this feature, it is mostly useful while watching Online Courses, Video Tutorials and so on.
