WhatsApp may bring a Verification Feature for Forwarded Messages

The world’s most used instant messaging app, WhatsApp, is looking forward to bring a feature that helps the user to verify the Forwarded Message. WABeta.info guys spotted this feature in WhatsApp Beta 2.20.94 that has been rolled out recently to Google Play Beta Program. While the same feature is available in the above mentioned WhatsApp Beta version, however, it is not guaranteed that everyone would be lucky to test the same feature. Anyways here is How this feature works?

Here is How Verifying a Forwarded Message works inside WhatsApp?

When WhatsApp loads this feature, there is a search icon (lens icon) present right next to the text message that is forwarded to you. Clicking on the same search icon prompts a message saying, “Would you like to search this on the web? and will upload the message to Google”. Below also in the screenshots, we explained How it looks.

Now, Once you click on the Search Web option, the forwarded message you received then uploaded to Google, and in turn, Google presents you with a list of search results relevant to the keywords present in the same message.

Then, based on your Googling experience, you can then identify whether the forwarded message you received is a fake or not.

Let’s see When WhatsApp able to make this feature rolled out inside a stable update. For now, keep this info somewhere aside in your mind.
