Online Music streaming app Spotify slashes the price of its 12-month premium plan to Rs. 699. Earlier, for the same period, Spotify charges Rs. 1,189. However, users who subscribe to the monthly plan could choose this plan to save almost 50% of the amount they are paying. That’s because Spotify is taking Rs. 119 for the monthly premium subscription that is equal to Rs. 1,428 for a year.
I think Spotify is giving this big discount on the ocassion of Christmas that because the offer expires on 31-12-2019. Also, Users subscribed for Premium Family plan not able to opt for this offer. The same condition is applicable for those also who subscribe to the premium plan via 3rd party resellers.
What’s more interesting about this annual plan is, it is comparatively cheaper than the 6-month premium plan. Do note that the 6-month premium plan is available in India for Rs. 719.
Coming to the price, Even Spotify slashes the price of its Annual Premium Plan, however, still it doesn’t beat JioSaavn pricing. Right now, In India, JioSaavn giving the cheapest Annual Premium Plan at Rs. 299. Next to JioSaavn, Gaana app falls in the queue giving 1 year of Gaana Plus for Rs. 399.
Other rivals of Spotify in India include names like YouTube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Wynk and so on.
So, that is all from my side, as you have plenty of time to think about opting for Spotify Annual Premium Plan at Rs. 699 or not. Now, if you want to raise any questions, you can do that in the comment box down below.
