Popular Music streaming Application Spotify rolls out its Lite version for Indian users. Right now, the app is available in beta version and you can download it from Google Play Store. Back in February this year, Spotify rolls out in India.
In addition to India, Spotify is available in Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Mexico and Brazil.
The App size is under 10MB which varies according to the Smartphone you are using. For example, In my phone the app size is around 8MB and it takes around 28MB of my Phone’s internal storage.
The Interface is astonishing as always. Once you download and install the app from playstore and open it for the first time it ask you to sign in via different methods. If you already have an account on Spotify, you can sign in via the same credentials. However, if you are new to Spotify then, you could sign up via your email or Facebook account.
Once you complete the sign in process, the app open the homepage where you see different sections like Popular and Trending, Recommended for you, Editor’s pick and more.
Now, Talking about the features, Since it is a lite app it has limited set of features. Anyways, Below I list them all.
- In the Settings Tab there is an option called Mobile Data through which you could set your monthly data limit for Spotify lite app. Once spotify lite crosses the data cap you set it will not stream any songs by utilizing your Internet data.
- There is a search section at the bottom of the app through which you could search for different genres of music.
- Right aside the search section, there is a favorites section where your created playlists resides. Here, you could also locate your saved artists and albums.
Spotify has around 200 million active users among which 96 million users have taken the Spotify Premium subscription.
