Do note that, PUBG lite is scheduled to launch in India on July 4. However, today, the team has officially made available the PUBG lite launcher for Indian users.
Last month PUBG team announced a Pre-registration event for PUBG lite and now two days are more left for the pre-registration event to close.
Users who register for the pre-registration event get exclusive rewards in the form of skins and weapons from PUBG team. I already cover an article on PUBG lite pre-registration event, and I suggest you read that one to get more insight.
The file size of PUBG Lite launcher is around 65MB. However, once you download this file and run it, then it starts downloading the game files.
I have downloaded the PUBG Lite Launcher and downloading the game files, and you can see in the screenshot below, the game file size is 2.3GB.
Once the launcher completes downloading the game file, you can then login to the game by feeding your PUBG account credentials.
One question you might be thinking about why to download the game right now? Well, as you can see to play PUBG lite PC, you have to download its Game files, and on the launch date obviously, there is an overload on the server. So, there may be the case that after the game launches for a few dates, it provides the lesser speed of FTP connection. Therefore, to download the game files, it takes some time.
So, it is best that you could download the game files right now or after a week or something after the game launches in India.
For the shake of the information below, I have mentioned the minimum as well as recommended system requirements for PUBG lite.

From the requirements, you can see that, with PUBG Lite, PUBG team now acquires most PC players to consume their game servers in India.
Although the game launches on July 4, I think it takes around a month or something to collect a majority of users. Otherwise, In the early days of PUBG lite, you can play the game mostly with bots.
