Currently, Google is working on to create users presence on Google search with a new feature called Profile Card. Well, this feature, right now is accessible to some people in India but soon going to available for all users worldwide. Here is what Profile Card in Google Search do?

What is Profile Card in Google Search?

Profile Card is actually a snippet as I mentioned accessible to some people right now, contains information about a person. Google already have a snippet similiar to profile card called Knowledge card but that is available only for important persons and organization like actors, politicians, companies etc. Profile card on the other hand is for all who have a registered google account. With Profile card one can share information about themselves right on Google search.

After creating your profile card, when anyone searches you with your name on google search they discover your profile card first on Google search.

Right now, when anyone searches you with your name they first discover your different social handles profile, websites who mentioned your name and so on.

However, after creating the profile card, when anyone searches you with your name, the first result google show them is your profile card. Profile card is controlled all by you. I meant to say, all the information present in your profile card is provided and controlled by you.

How to Create your Profile Card on Google Search?

As I mentioned above, right now, Profile Card is available to some users in India who set their language to English on google search. Now, If you are that lucky one, here is how you can create your profile card.

First open google.com in your Android Phone or Tablet, or in your iPhone or iPad. That’s because Profile Card feature is not available for desktop right now.

Also, make sure you have signed in to your appropiate Google account.

Now, you can either search for your name on google.com or you can search add me to google or edit my search result.

You can think of these two as a command to execute profile card snippet to appear on Google search.

Now, if you are that lucky one then you find an option to add yourself on Google search right at the top of the search result. Tap on Get Started.

Now, fill out the information you want to share publicly about yourself on Google search. You’ll need to fill at least your name, location, summary, and occupation.

Then, tap on preview button to see how your card looks and if you are satisfied, tap on the submit button to create your profile card on Google search.

Well, it take some hour for your card to show up in Google search, so you need to relax.

How to Edit your Profile Card on Google Search?

Google says they may stop showing your profile card on google search if it has not been updated for a long time. Hence, from time to time, you may need to update your profile card and here is how you can do that. The procedure is somewhat same.

First go to google.com and make sure you’re signed in with the same google account through which you created the card.

Now search for edit my search card.

Then tap on the edit option present at the top right corner of your profile card, then update the details you want.

How to Delete your Profile Card on Google Search?

Visit google.com and make sure you’re signed in with the same google account through which you created the card.

Then, type edit my search card on google search.

After that your profile card appears on google search, and in the same card tap Delete to delete your card and all its content from Google search result.
