Today, Microsoft rolled out Dark Mode in Microsoft Outlook app and office.com. Do note the dark mode in Microsoft Outlook App is now available in both the iOS and Android App. On one side where the dark mode is available right now only in Microsoft Outlook App, Microsoft says they are going to bring this same feature in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Planner, and To-Do apps once iOS 13 will launch.
Right now to access dark mode in Microsoft Outlook app, all you have to do is update your app. Next to it, once you turn on battery saver mode in Android, Microsoft Outlook app automatically turn on the dark mode. However, In coming days, Microsoft looks forward to making dark mode to depend on your system preference. That means if you turn on your Android Phone dark mode option, Microsoft outlook automatically turn on the dark mode. Those of you who don’t know, Android 9 has the system-wide option to turn on the dark mode.
In the same blog post, Jon Friedman, Head of Microsoft Office Design, explained, they are working on to bring the exact dark mode in term of saturation and colors across all Microsoft 365 apps.
Coming to Dark mode, on one side where it reduces eye strain in a dark environment, on other it also conserves your phone’s battery as proved by Google.
