JioMart WhatsApp Booking Service Goes Live in Mumbai

Its has been three days only when Reliance Jio sold 9.99 percent of its Stake to the world’s largest social networking company Facebook and now has started selling grocery items via WhatsApp. As I already explained in one of my earlier post, the deal has been made to boost JioMart services via Facebook owned WhatsApp and now it is live at three places in Mumbai precisely Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan.

To order grocery items via JioMart, Users residing at above places just have to save a number i.e. 8850008000 on WhatsApp and ping them anything, just like say Hi and the JioMart WhatsApp account send you a link. Do note that the link goes live only for 30 minutes, however, to generate a new link you can again ping them Hi and they will send you a new link.

Now, Clicking on the link leads you to a page where you have to feed your Mobile Number, Area, Locality, House Number, Society Name, Full Name and then you have to check on the option to receive updates on WhatsApp and then click on the Proceed button like as I show you the screenshots below.

Once done a new page opens where you can select the items to order and thereafter able to place order. Now, as soon as the order is placed, it is shared with all the local kirana stores near the customer. Finally, the customer receives a notification having order as well as the Kiran Store details.

Livemint reported, right now, to pick up the order a customer have to visit the store. Also, the payment option right now available is cash only.

Note: Orders placed by 5 pm everyday are likely to be available for pick up at your nearest JioMart Kirana within 48 hours.
