Apple plans to launch switchable 60Hz/120Hz AMOLED Display in iPhone or iPhones next year. For this, Apple is in discussion with Samsung and LG, who are currently the largest AMOLED Display manufacturer in the world. This info reported first by Apple devices leakster Ice Universe.
Well, displays having switchable refresh rate is helpful to properly utilizing the resource of the device, especially the power. The 60Hz refresh rate is more than enough when we browse static images in our phones, whereas the 120Hz displays are now becoming a trend for Game Centric Smartphones.
It is not the first time Apple releasing devices having display sporting 120Hz refresh rate. Since 2017, both the Apple 10.5 and 12.9 inches iPads have the support of ultra-fast refresh rate displays.
For now, we know this much about the display technology iPhone may come with next year. However, we do know, Apple going to release 4 devices next year that sports 5G and 3D sensing camera.
Coming to this year, be prepared for iPhone 11 that is expected to launch in September.
