Amidst ongoing tension in between India and China following recent confrontation at Ladakh, Today, Indian Intelligence Agencies have recommended the Indian Government to Ban or discourage a list of 52 Chinese Apps running in the country. The Intelligence agencies asserts these apps poses national security threat as they extract a large amount of data outside the country. The Intelligence Agencies have also advised people not to use these apps. The agencies recommendation is also supported by National Security Council Secretariat as reported by Hindustan Times.
Although, the Intelligence agencies have recommended the Government to discourage the use of these apps in the country, It has been reported that The Government may not blacklist all these apps in one go as they will analyse them first one by one before taking any decision.
Talking about these 52 apps, they belong from various niches and include some of the popular names. For example, TikTok, SHAREit, UC Browser, Xender, Clean Master and more. Let see when the Indian Government consider to discourage the use of these apps in the country.
