Google News brings advance search option like Google Search. In Google search you can narrow down your search result by finding only those results that have the exact word. All you have to place your “word” inside quotation mark and you are on. Beside that there are several other advance search options, Google search provides you.
Now, Google News also brings some of the advanced search options via which you can more accurately find articles on Google News.
Currently for narrowing search results, Google News has following set of options.
Exact Phrase: Brings only those results which contains the word in the same order you want search for.
Has Words: Brings only those results which contains the word you want to search for in any order.
Exclude Words: Helps to refine your search result to exclude those results that contains the word you paste in this section.
Website: If you want to narrow down your search to a specific website only.
Date: This options helps you to track only those results that are posted under certain time. For example, Search from only those articles that are posted past hour and so on.
Now, if you compare advance search in Google news with Google Search, Google search has a lot more option in addition to these. For example, Google search gives you the option to narrow your search result with language, region, file type and more.
