In a bid to give the viewers better Video resolution, Disney Plus Hotstar has started testing the 4K HDR resolution in India. The streaming service has reportedly spotted supporting 3840×2160 pixels of resolution playing at 60Hz on Fire TV 4K Stick, while, on Android TV it has been spotted supporting HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
While asking about the same, Disney Plus Hotstar support official twitter handle replied and agreed that they are testing 4K HDR resolution in India. Now, Although the streaming service has started testing the 4K HDR resolution, right now they are providing the maximum resolution of 1080 pixels in India.
In India, right now, while the streaming service supports the maximum resolution of 1080 pixels, other countries also have 4K HDR and Dolby vision support.
Disney Plus right now is offering 4K content to all the Star Wars Films, Pixar Films, and some popular hits like The Lion King.
Now, coming to how you can test whether Disney Plus Hotstar has started offering 4K content, you must have a streaming device that can handle 4K. Below are the some of streaming device that can handle 4K content.

Also, to stream a 4K content on Disney Plus Hotstar you need a better Internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of around 20Mbps. Now, to spot a 4K movie or a show on Disney Plus, you must see a label in it. If the movie or the show have the HDR label then maybe it available in 4K resolution.
