Sony Xperia XZ1 Review all you need to know about
In this Article, we give you the latest flagship smartphone Sony Xperia xz1 review. We review it in terms of its design, performance, software & battery
Welcome to 2017 where phones have a bezel-less display, at least two cameras, a faster processor, and a display that comes with more pixels than you need. Rather Apple is following this trend, but Japan’s most famous consumer technology company did not follow this trend. Sony only wants to sell its phones to his fans of Xperia phones, who appreciate the company’s work. Xperia XZ1 is similar to an old Sony phone but this time it is available with an attractive price.
Sony Xperia XZ1 offers a 3D scanning feature, which makes it different from other smartphones. This phone runs on Android Orio and this is the only phone in India that comes with Android Orio.
Design and Build Quality | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
In Sony Xperia XZ1, round edges have been made, which make it more seamless. Also, its anodized aluminum gives it a different feel, which means this time it gives a more metallic feel. Maybe this is my personal opinion, but Sony Xperia XZs gave the plasticity somewhere. The whole unit looks strong and scratch resistant, although shocks or falls may have a mark.
Xperia XZ1 has a much smaller form factor than its competitors, which is not a bad thing. Rather, those who are buying Compact Phone Lover’s Flagship will want to see it once due to its form factor. You can easily reach the power button/fingerprint reader and volume rocker without leaving the grip and instead, your thumb can easily reach the full screen even if your hand is of an average size.
The problem with Sony’s design is that we have got used to seeing beautiful phones. On the front, there are crisp and thick bezels that do not fit in the 2017 flagship. The metal glass is stronger than glass but still, the screen is likely to break. The truth is that Sony has incorporated new hardware into the old design. The company has moved the flash to the vertical strip at the top of the rear panel, which can easily be separated XZ1 and XZs.

Display | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
The company is not providing useless pixels. The 5.2-inch 1080p display comes with 424 PPI. Very good for users. Its display is quite sharp and Corning Gorilla Glass offers 5 premiums and smooth fuels.
In the default mode, most of the AMOLED panels seem less saturated. However, it is not that bad. Rather, Sony presents a balance display that looks adequately vibrant. If you want more natural colors, go to Settings and select sRGB mode. This smartphone also has a “Vivid” mod which produces deep oversized colors. These modes do not give you complete control over the colors, but the company is offering more in comparison to other phones in this case.

Software | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
Compared to the other phones, Xperia Z1 is one of the feature phones that runs on Android Orio. Rather, it is a returning phone in India that runs on the new version of Android, as long as the pixel phones do not come in the country.
The most notable thing is that settings/account icons have been moved down under the Quick Settings. Of course, you get a picture-in-picture feature, Google’s new AutoFill APIs and more. The settings menu is slightly different and there is a direct search button on top of it.
Apart from the only new software this phone has some advantages. Undoubtedly, getting the new software in the world of Android is a great advantage.
3D scanning | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
We were living in a world where 3D printers are present everywhere, here Xperia XZ1 proves to be the coolest gadget. This phone offers the 3D Creator App, so you can create 3D models of faces, objects or food etc. You can save them in the cloud to easily access them, as well as print them with any 3D printer. Sounds cool, but wait there are no 3D printers in or around everyone in India.
You can not scan 3D in low light. Rather, the phone did not scan indoor dark objects (in the low light of tube light) for a long time. When you scan in low light, the results will not be worth it. However, you can do some fun with your friends with its camera. It does not scan a realistic, but have you seen a plastic doll that looks like a real.
It’s easy to shoot 3D scans. Once you understand how to move the camera, you will easily understand it. Sony’s problem is that the company is doing all this with the old software, so its results are limited to the use of the house only.

Performance | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
Sony’s Phones are not always recognized due to its design, display and many other things, but we ask questions about their lack of performance. Xperia XZ1 runs on Snapdragon 835 chipset, we prefer more RAM, 4GB RAM is not noticeable. Xperia XZ1 is a fast phone. Rather it loads and navigates apps and UI faster. When you launch the games of Asphalt 8, Injustice 2, this phone can freeze for a few seconds, which is common for all the Android phones.
This phone is absolutely correct for gaming or other heavy applications. Rather, it comes with a 1080p display that helps drive more high-frame rates than QHD counterparts. We can not ask any questions about its performance. For example, in other phones, when it comes to downloading Google Play download the Games before it is played, it takes a lot of time, but it is fast enough in Xperia XZ1.
The 3D Creator App needs a lot of processing. If you do a scan after two or more than one, then this phone can be heated. Well, it happens after half an hour continuously after gaming, although it is a bit inconvenient we did not record any unusual temperature in the device.
Audio Quality | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
Xperia XZ1 supports Android’s LDAC codec with Android Orio. In addition, the company’s DSEE HX technology is also given in this phone that upscales the audio output to Hi-Res. This is particularly helpful for those who do music streams. If the DSEE HX is off from the settings, then you have to turn it on by going to the Settings. As soon as you turn it on you will feel the difference in audio quality.
Xperia XZ1 has front-facing stereo speakers that are not very loud but produce good audio quality compared to other phones. It works well with headphones too. This device supports the variety of codecs along with FLAC and produces high-quality audio with mid-to-high-head headphones.
Camera | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
Talking about the design, Sony has not followed the dual-camera trend in XZ1. You can not find a Bokeh effect, wide-angle camera or optical zoom in this phone. If you are getting the Motion Eye camera of Xperia Z1 in this phone, you can do Slow Motion recording at 960 fps. Like 3D scanning, this is not a special feature.
You get a 19MP Exmor RS sensor in this phone which comes with f2.0 aperture and Sony’s predictive hybrid autofocus and predictive capture technology. You can turn on predictive capture from camera settings. From this feature, the camera automatically detects smiles and other emotions and clicks the photo before pressing your shutter button.
After that you will see 4 photos in the album, you can save these four pictures or any one of these pictures. This feature sounds very interesting in listening when we used it practically, so we noticed that its predictive capture comes in very little effect.
Predictive hybrid autofocus starts working when you snap an object in a moving state. It tracks the object and ensures that it is in focus most of the time. You can not expect that it will focus on the car running on the road, but it can focus on the road running bicycle. Predictive AutoFocus automatically selects focus points, Xperia XZ1 works slow while touching the focus.

Camera Performance | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
It draws effective photos with more details in good lighting conditions, but the photos taken from this phone in low light are far from the flagship standard.
Predictive capture and autofocus make the camera more dependable. However, Xperia does not work very well in conditions with XZ1 challenges. At present, most of the flagship devices shoot in auto-HDR, while the dynamic range XZ1 appears to be slow
Overall, there is a good camera in Xperia XZ1, but as we expect from today’s flagship phones, XZ1 does not offer such a camera. In many ways the quality of the camera goes down, we are not happy with the lack of dependability. It becomes slightly slow to process photos in low light.
Battery | Sony Xperia XZ1 Review
If you use average phones, you can use this phone for up to 8-10 hours after charging. This is not a very good battery life for any phone but we were expecting less than 2700 mAh battery. Sony has done a great job in enhancing battery life.
A 15 minute 1080p video shoot ends up to 8% of battery life, so the battery life is good. The phone has Quick Charge 3.0 which means in half an hour your phone will charge up to 40%. You can use it all day by charging the phone once in the evening.
