MacOS users can now install Chromium Based Microsoft Edge Browser which is now available in Canary Preview Channel. Microsoft reveals this info. via a blog post today. Do note that Microsoft release the same preview build for Windows 10 users last month. Well, those of you who don’t know Microsoft is working on Chromium based Edge Browser. For Windows 10 users right now, its latest preview build is in Dev Channel. However, today, for MacOS users its preview build in Canary Channel is available for download.

Microsoft explains they are working on to give Mac OS users the same experience Windows Users get in this Edge Browser. Beside that they have designed the browser like any other native apps in MacOS. That is the challenging task give experience like Windows but feel like a MacOS app.

Microsoft team has also included several hardware features in this browser. For example, In the MacOS Touch Bar giving Website Shortcuts, Tab Switching feature, Video controls and more.

Do note that more features are about to come as it is right now in Canary Channel. Moreover, to release in stable channel it has to first cover up the Dev and Beta Channel. Dev Channel is updated weekly whereas Beta Channel is updated every 6 weeks. However, Canary Channel is updated daily, hence you may encounter some new features daily.
