Jio Gigafiber is going to be commercially available on August 12. The same day when Reliance Annual General meeting takes place. Till now, the service is in beta phase where people using it gets 100GB of monthly data at a speed of 1Gbps. Now, the beta phase is reaching the final stage.
A report from The Hindu states Reliance High-Speed Fiber to Home Broadband, i.e. Gigafiber is going to launch on Reliance Annual General Meeting this year that is going to take place on August 12. The commercial launch is going to be available in 1100 cities across India. However, it does requires a registration process.
People who opt to test Jio Gigafiber in beta phase have to pay Rs 4500 or Rs 2500 as a refundable security deposit fee for the device. Well, the difference between Rs. 4500 and Rs. 2500 connection is the device. The former one is the dual-channel device where you get 100Mbps speed whereas the later on is a single channel so here you get 50Mbps speed. However, 50Mbps speed is more than enough if you are using the Internet in your home or for personal use.
Do note that Jio Gigafiber comes with Home Broadband, Smart Home IOT Solutions, IPTV over a single connection. Earlier in one of our post, we talk about Jio Gigafiber Broadband, Landline and TV Combo plan that comes at Rs 600 per month. So, you can see how affordable it is.
Well, the company officials haven’t said anything about the commercial launch of Jio Gigafiber. However, we also believe its almost a year of Jio Gigafiber trials and Reliance hasn’t anything to show on AGM except its Fiber Optic Broadband service.
Let’s see Reliance able to cope with our needs or not this time. For now, stay tuned with us for further pings.
