In April 2018, Microsoft releases Windows 10 1803 version which is popularly known by the name Windows 10 spring creator update. After this update, there are several features, Microsoft team pull back from Windows 10. Displaying Battery Remaining Time Indicator is one such feature.
Therefore, In windows 10 you now won’t find any option extensively to turn on Battery Remaining Time indicator. In Windows 10, there are a total of 3 sections where this option present earlier but now it is gone. These sections are Windows Mobility center (you can access it by right clicking on the battery icon in taskbar), Battery Settings and on the Battery Icon.
How to enable Battery Remaining Time Indicator in Windows 10? (Guide)
There are two ways by which you can re-enable Battery Remaining Time Indicator in Windows 10. The first one you do by Windows Registry editor and the second you can do by the Boot Menu.
1. By Windows Registry Editor
Open Registry Editor and reach at this location: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
Now, Delete these two DWORD 32-bit Value i.e. DEnergyEstimationEnabled & UserBatteryDischargeEstimator
After that create, a new DWORD 32-bit Value and name it EnergyEstimationDisabled and you are done.
Restart your system to see the effect.
2. By Boot Menu at StartUp
Restart Your PC
Then, Continuously Hit ESC key before your Laptop Brand name appear.
Now, enter into the BIOS setup by pressing F10 button.
Now, Reach at this location System Configuration>Battery Remaining Time and then press enter.
After that select the Enable option, Hit enter to save and exit BIOS Setup and you are good to go.
Note: Entering in the BIOS Setup varies from one laptop brand to another. You can research the web to know how to enter your Laptop BIOS setup. From then on the steps are same as we mention above.
After you complete the above step you will able to see Battery Remaining Time Indicator at all the 3 locations we described.
