Jio subsidiary Den Networks is reportedly providing its New Customers Jio branded set-top box. P Sharma, one of the DreamDTH community members, recently brought his third Den Network Connection for his home and got Jio Branded Setup Box. Now, although the set-top box is Jio branded, the software patch still runs with Den Branding with EPG and Watermark also of Den. The subscriber also claimed he get Dolby plus support with the box.
Now, this is not the first time any Jio Subsidiary provides Jio branded set-top box to its connection. Earlier this year, Hathway cable also started providing its new customers Jio Branded STBs. Datacom also has done the same. Do note that, Den, Hathway, and Datacom all are Jio Subsidiaries.
Besides providing the Jio branded STBs earlier this year, Hathway also enables its customer to link their Hathway account in MyJio App. In an investor presentation held last month, Reliance revealed they soon are going to target their 50 million plus cable households via its subsidiaries.
Now, getting Jio branded STBs, these customers for sure will get Jio software patches in the future.
