Two years ago, Cloudflare announced the 1.1.1.1 privacy first, fast, and secure DNS. Now, after two years Cloudflare has extended the functionality of the same DNS to filter Malware and Adult content. Clouflare calls it is 1.1.1.1 for Families.
Why Cloudflare brings 1.1.1.1 for Families?
Cloudflare says after rolling out 1.1.1.1 DNS two years ago, one of the most requested feature we receive from the user is to roll out a DNS that filter Malware and Adult content. Right now, we are processing more than 200 billion DNS requests per day and that makes us the second largest public DNS resolver in the world behind Google. So, we accept users request and has launched 1.1.1.1 for Families.
1.1.1.1 for Families is available in Two Versions
Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 DNS is now available in two versions, the first one that filters only the Malware content while the second one to filter both the Malware and the Adult content. Well one can use both versions for free by configuring the below mentioned DNS either in their network router or in their home devices (like laptops, computers, mobile and so).
DNS that only Blocks the Malware

Primary DNS: 1.1.1.2
Secondary DNS: 1.0.0.2
IPV6 Version
Primary DNS: 2606:4700:4700::1112
Secondary DNS: 2606:4700:4700::1002
DNS that Blocks both the Malware and the Adult Content
IPV4 Version
Primary DNS: 1.1.1.3
Secondary DNS: 1.0.0.3
IPV6 Version
Primary DNS: 2606:4700:4700::1113
Secondary DNS: 2606:4700:4700::1003

Additional Configuration for 1.1.1.1 for Families
Cloudflare says, In coming month we will bring some addition configurations for 1.1.1.1 for Families. These additional configurations includes Whitelisting or Blacklisting certain sites, setting up times when to block social media sites, and giving report for the comple household Internet usage.
