Airtel starts rolling out its WiFi Calling Facility to more regions after its successful rollout in Delhi NCR this month. These 5 new regions are Kolkata, Mumbai, Tamil Naidu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
Those of you who don’t know, Right now, WiFi calling is one of the best methods to provide high-quality call facility in an indoor environment. Taking about its charge, Airtel already revealed they aren’t going to take any charge for WiFi Calling. That means the service is free of cost until a user fulfills all the pre-requisites. The pre-requisites are having an Airtel 4G Sim Card, a Smartphone supporting WiFi calling facility and broadband or a hotspot, or a WiFi.
Users fulfilling all these pre-requisites and belongs to any of the circle I mentioned above, then able to enjoy Airtel WiFi Calling Facility.
Now, talking about the WiFi calling facility, Airtel isn’t the only giving it. Reliance Jio that is India’s leading telecom operator having more than 350 million subscribers also giving the same facility in 3 regions. Kerala, Maharastra, and Kolkata are the regions where Reliance Jio is giving the WiFi calling facility. Well, we haven’t got any official confirmation about the service from Jio team. However, users belonging to these regions reveals this information.
One more thing most users ask is on which ISP they could avail ne the WiFi calling facility. Well, In the case of Airtel, earlier, they are giving the facility only to users having Airtel Xstream broadband connection. However, now, one can use Airtel WiFi calling on any ISP they are using.
Similarly, In the case of Reliance Jio, a user can avail WiFi calling irrespective of the ISP.
