Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro Starts Receiving Android Pie Update. However, right now only customers in Russia are getting this update. The update also brings ONE UI with it. Therefore, one can expect features like Dark Mode, Performance Improvements and so on. This new update also comes with May 2019 security patch version J730FMXXU5CSEE. Not just J7 Pro, I think soon this new Android update will also roll out to Galaxy J7 (2017) phone as the only difference between between these two phones is Samsung Pay. J7 Pro have the Samsung Pay whereas J7 doesn’t sports this app.
Samsung launches the Galaxy J7 Pro back in Year 2017 with Android Nougat. However, later Samsung provides Android Oreo update to this Smartphone. Now, users in Russia starts receiving Android Pie Update in this phone. I am happy to see that, Samsung giving Newer Android update to its older phones. And, that’s a good sign for the company.
Moreover, This is an OTA update therefore take some time to available in your Smartphone. Meanwhile, you could check for it manually by visiting your Smartphone Setting>Software Update option.
I know some of you are curious to know whether this update will available to other countries? Well in that case I think it will because it looks like Samsung first test it out in Russia and then will roll it out globally.
Recently, Samsung has provided Android Pie update to some of its mid range phones like Galaxy J4+, J6, J8, On7 Prime. Moreover, also introducing this new update to its newer models like M10, M20 and M30.
One more thing I like to mention here is if Samsung giving Android Pie update to its J7 (2017) model then, they have to at least providing Oreo update to its J7 (2016) model. J7 (2016) still running on Android Nougat with December 1, 2018 security patch.
