In a bid to let the gamers play quick matches on the go, the PUBG Mobile team has added a brand new map in the latest PUBG Mobile beta update. The map has been named Livik, and Currently, PUBG Mobile beta users can only play it now. PUBG Mobile team revealed this info. Via their official twitter handle this Thursday.
In an interview with the Verge, PUBG Mobile Producer, Rick Li explained why they brought the Livik Map. He said that Livik Map is for those players who have a tighter schedule but are looking to play a quick match. He explained, a total of 40 players at once can join this 2×2 kilometer map, and within 15 minutes, the map decides who is going to have the chicken dinner. Livik Map is designed based on the Nordic Terrain theme and includes a variety of things. For example, Hot Spring, Waterfall, Volcano, and others.
The waterfall is my favorite as there are so many things you can do with it. For example, the waterfall flow can wash a player away when standing on the top of the waterfall. You can also launch a motorboat from the top of the waterfall to the below water to surprisingly attack a team.
This is the first time when PUBG brought a map first to PUBG Mobile before releasing it to the PC and Console version. However, In the same interview, Li suggests the map may not be exclusive to PUBG Mobile only and can debut to PC and Consoles in the coming days.
How does PUBG Mobile Livik Map look?
Although, there isn’t any much detail shared; however, those who played the map says, its a combination of the existing classic maps on PUBG namely Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi. Therefore, we can see a combination of different terrains on the map. For example, some areas of the map are snowy; however, some areas are grassy and dessert.
Livik is the same map that was released last month as a secret map in PUBG Mobile beta. The map is more colorful and vivid compared to any other existing maps as it contains snow-covered mountains and glowing pink flowers.
Now, Although Livik has been debuted in PUBG Mobile beta, its timeline in the stable version is not yet defined. However, it is believed, it may launch with the Erangel 2.0 map that is expected to launch next month on 0.19.0 stable update.
When is PUBG Mobile going to launch the Livik Map?
The exclusive PUBG Mobile Livik Map is all set to launch on July 7th with the 0.19.0 update. Talking about its size, we can safely say the size of the update will no less than 2GB. However, for now, we aren’t sure about the exact size of the update.
