The augmented reality version of the popular video game Minecraft called Minecraft Earth, Beta Sign Up is now open for Android devices. Those of you who don’t know Minecraft earth is an upcoming Minecraft based Augmented reality game for smartphone. Sweedish Video gaming company Mojang has developed this game. However, it was innovated first by Microsoft Hololens team back in 2015.
This free to play game was first revealed on May 17, 2019, via a trailer posted on YouTube. If you haven’t watched the trailer yet here it is.
After 2 months of its trailer release i.e., on July 16, 2019, its closed beta signup for the iOS was announced. However, now, after a month, its beta signup for Android is available. Here is the Microsoft Earth Beta Site from where you could sign up for the game but make sure you have an AR supported device running on Android Nougat or later.
Talking more about the game, Minecraft earth is similar to the original Minecraft where you have to build structures with the resources provided. However, in this version, you encounter physical objects like trees and lakes.
The Verge reported, besides building structures, Microsoft also plans to add adventure mode in the game. That mode will help you chit chat with other players at a separate area. Also, you can collaborate with the structures others have made, or you can build construction with your friends and family.
The sign up is open now. However, it will go live on devices next week.
