At I/O 2019, Google launches Budget Friendly Pixel Smartphones which was rumored for a while. These two smartphones are Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. From the name of these SmartPhones some of you already noticed that they are budget friendly version of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Comparing the Price of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a Series
Both, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL comes in two variant i.e. 64GB and 128GB. The base variant (64GB) of Pixel 3 comes at lowest price of Rs. 55, 999 in India whereas the base variant of Pixel 3 XL comes at Rs. 61,999. The 128GB variant of Pixel 3 will cost you Rs. 65,999 whereas the same variant for Pixel 3 XL will cost you Rs. 73,999.
Now, if you talk about the pricing of Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, Let me first tell you that both of these two phones come in a single variant called 64GB. Now, Talking about the price of Pixel 3a it comes at Rs. 39,999 whereas Pixel 3a XL comes at Rs. 44,999. See that’s why we call it the budget friendly Pixel Smartphones.
However, some of the internal and external configurations varies in the budget friendly version of Pixel 3 series i.e. Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. Now, let’s talk about what internal and external changes you find in budget friendly pixel smartphones.
Changes you find in Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL
First of all, In Pixel 3 series you get Snapdragon 845 processor, however, in Pixel 3a series Google ships Snapdragon 670 processor. Moreover, there isn’t any 128GB variant of Pixel 3a series. In Pixel Premium series, we have Frosted glass blacks but in the budget friendly version, Google switch it with Polycarbonate back. As In Pixel 3a series there isn’t any glass backs therefore, Wireless charging is also dropped from these versions. However, Google found some space to fabricate a 3.5mm jack with Pixel 3a series.
Pixel 3a comes with 5.6″ OLED Display whereas Pixel 3a XL comes with 6.0″ OLED Display. Both of these two smartphones have Android P support.
In India, Google Partners with Reliance Jio and Airtel to provide e-SIM Functionality with Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. However, don’t worry normal SIM tray is also present there in the phone.
Starting May 15, One can able to buy this phone from Flipkart. Taking about the offers, Google provide three month of free YouTube Music Subscription with these phones.
