Privacy for Apollo

Updated 5 November 2026. Apollo – RSS Reader for iOS is an independent iPhone and iPad reader operated by Sanjay Kumar Monu. Contact: [email protected]. Reading does not require an Apollo account.

Your library

Subscriptions, saved articles, reading history, highlights, notes, search indexes, boards and preferences are stored on your device. Each signed-in account has its own local library, and guest reading is separate. Signing out hides the account library; signing back into the same account restores access. Signing in does not automatically sync reading across devices or upload the library to the account service. Apple device backups may contain this data according to your settings. Exports, sharing and optional online features transmit the information needed for the action you choose.

Optional accounts

When available and selected, Google or Apple sign-in uses Supabase. Records include your email, user identifier, creation and sign-in dates and provider identity information. Google may supply a name and profile-picture URL; Apple may supply a private relay address. We use these records to operate accounts, count registered users, prevent abuse and verify complimentary product-owner access. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Supabase and sign-in providers process connection and security information, including IP addresses and authentication logs. Infrastructure may process information outside your country. See Supabase privacy information, Google privacy policy and Apple privacy policy.

Optional AI and integrations

On-device processing stays on your device. Selecting a remote provider sends your question and relevant excerpts or context to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or your configured Ollama server. Provider credentials authenticate requests. Retention and use depend on the provider and your account settings. Review what you send: automated redaction cannot guarantee removal of every private detail.

You can disable online AI and exclude sources or folders in Privacy settings. Configured integrations receive the content selected for that destination. Providers may charge separately. The AI/integration activity log is not a complete record of every network request.

Optional Cloudflare feed cache

If you configure and enable feed caching, Apollo sends eligible public RSS feed URLs and cache requests to the Cloudflare Worker endpoint you selected. The service fetches and temporarily caches RSS responses so multiple requests can reuse them. The endpoint operator and Cloudflare can process the requested feed addresses, connection information such as IP addresses, and the connection token used to authenticate cache requests. Their retention and processing depend on that service’s configuration and policies.

Private, authenticated, local and sensitive feed URLs bypass the cache. This cache feature does not send your notes, reading history, AI-provider keys or complete local library. It is separate from optional accounts and does not synchronize your library. You can disable or disconnect it in Settings > Connections > Cloudflare feed cache. Requests then go directly to publishers. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Publishers and payments

Fetching feeds, articles, images, audio, search results and page watches connects to the requested servers. They receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address and requested URL, under their own policies.

Apple processes Pro payments. Apollo reads verified transaction information and uses a random app-account token to manage access. Apollo does not receive your UPI PIN, bank credentials or full card details. Billing, refunds and subscriptions are managed through Apple.

Retention and account deletion

Local data remains until you remove it, erase it using Apollo data controls or remove the app. Separately managed backups may remain. Account and profile records are retained while your account exists. Signing out removes the device account session and owner-access cache while preserving your library and Apple purchases.

Settings → Account → Delete account requests removal of your Apollo authentication account and linked profile. Apple users may need to reauthenticate to revoke authorization. If deletion fails or the service is unavailable, contact us for help. Account deletion makes that account’s local library inaccessible in Apollo; it does not automatically erase the isolated files from this device. Export anything you want to keep before deleting your account. Deletion does not cancel Apple subscriptions or erase device backups.

Operational security logs and provider backups follow provider retention and deletion schedules; deleting an account does not immediately remove independently retained service records. Contact us about records associated with your account. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations.

Your choices and rights

Contact us to request access, correction, deletion or other rights available in your location, or to raise a privacy complaint. We may need to verify your identity. You may complain to a relevant data-protection authority where that right applies. Optional account and online features can be avoided or turned off.

Security and changes

Apollo stores sessions and provider keys in the device Keychain. The account service uses HTTPS. No system guarantees perfect security. Apollo is a general-purpose reader and is not directed to children. Contact us if a child has provided personal data inappropriately. Material policy changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.

This policy covers the Apollo app. The Techchahiye website has its own privacy policy.
