Hotstar VIP Plan Launched in India at Rs. 365 a Year: See What you get?

Hotstar VIP plan launched in India at an yearly price of Rs. 365. The Plan basically is an upgradation of its All Annual Sports Plan that unveils last year in April. Note that, the former plan offers exclusive sports content like live cricket match video sort of thing. However, the Plan not just packs with sports content but also have contents that come under Hotstar Specials, for example, Star Network serials, live matches video.

Note: Users who already have a subscription of All Annual Sports Plan will automatically roll over to the VIP Plan without any extra cost.

One Important thing to note here is under VIP Plan one can’t get access to International contents like Game of Thrones, Friends or The Flash.

Contents Falls Under Hotstar VIP Plan

Following are the type of contents that fall under the VIP Plan of Hotstar.

• Live Sports: Including Cricket, Premier League & Formula 1
• Latest episodes of Indian TV Shows at 6 AM everyday
• New Indian Movie Premieres
• Exclusive Hotstar Specials

For accessing International contents like Game of Thrones, The Flash and more on Hotstar one should have Hotstar Premium plan. Hotstar Premium Plan comes at Rs. 199 per month or Rs. 999 per year.

However, Whatever contents the Hotstar VIP Plan contains, you can download it for offline viewing. Downloading Hotstar content for offline viewing is also available in its Premium Plan.

There are several options like Debit Card, Netbanking, PayTM to subscribe for a Hotstar Plan. However, In addition to all of these, Hotstar bring Pay by Cash option to subscribe for a plan. Once you opt out Pay by Cash option, Hotstar will send someone to collect the subscription money right from your doorstep.

With this new VIP Plan, Hotstar now have a total of 2 plans for web streamers i.e. Hotstar VIP and Hotstar Premium. If we further derive the plan, we find that users who opt out to choose Hotstar for a month only have to take Hotstar Premium. This is because Hotstar VIP Plan is an early plan and don’t have any monthly subscription.
