airtel tv is now airtel xstream

Few months back we revealed the availability of Airtel XStream app on Android TV but somehow people not able to access the XStream premium. Airtel said, only the Fiber broadband and XStream box users able to access it that time. However now, it has been reportedly said that Android TV users can also access the Airtel XStream premium by purchasing it for Rs. 499 per year.

To do that they first have to Download and Install the Airtel XStream app from the Android TV Play store and then inside the app they can purchase the Rs. 499 plan which is valid for 365 days. There are different payment options available, for example, Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, ICICI Debit Card, and some popular wallets.

The restrictions on Live TV Channels

I already mentioned in one of my earlier articles is Airtel XStream contains content curated from different OTT platforms like Hungama, Eros Now, Hoichoi, ShemarooMe, Sony, Zee, and Lion’s gate. However, beside contents from the above-mentioned OTT platforms, Airtel XStream also has a huge collection of Live TV Channels, but on Android TV, Airtel has blocked access to these Live TV Channels. May be for the reason to not loose any of the satellite TV subscribers.

Now, although subscribers will not be able to access the Live TV Channels on Android TV, the same they can access on other devices like Smartphone, iPad and so on. Airtel XStream supports multidevice login up to 5 devices at a time with single login credentials. That means 4 different person can enjoy the subscription for free.

Some of the coolest features Airtel XStream has in my opinion is the ability to see the live TV Shows from the beginning even if we login late. The other one is it sports more than 350 Live TV Channels plus it was reported that soon it will bring more than 400 Live TV Channels.
