You can now book movie tickets from Google Search. Google search seems like quietly rolls out this feature. Noticed first by Inc42, Google partners with several movie booking platform in India like BookMyShow, PayTm, and INOX. Surprisingly, PVR Cinemas not falls under Google Movie Booking partner.
To Book a movie from Google search all you have to do is search for the movie by its name. You can even search with the keyword Movies near me to list out all the movies premiere near your location.
Once you get the list of movies and decide which one to watch, Click on the show time and you get a popup. This Pop up ask you to book ticket from the partner Google Automatically chooses for you. Once you click on the booking partner, Google redirects you to their Booking page, where you have further fill up other details like no. of seats and so on. Once done pay the amount and your ticket will be booked.
One more thing, You can not just book movie ticket form Google search but Google Assistant also helps you to achieve this task.
What makes this new feature not so cool is Google automatically chooses the ticket booking partner for us? Moreover, we still have to move to the Booking partner site to further initiate the ticket booking process.
Now, This feature is convenient in terms of we don’t have to install a separate app for booking tickets. Google handles this all out.
