India is moving towards the fifth generation of telecom networks as the largest telecom operators in India Reliance Jio and Airtel has tested their 5G networks in India.
The Government of India, on the other hand, is focusing on improving domestic manufacturing in India. In the same Journey last year, the Government of India announced the Production Linked Incentive Scheme. Companies enrolled in the PLI scheme are benefited with the incentives provided by the Government.
For example, Last Wednesday, the Government of India approved Rs. 12,195 crore for telecom and networking products under the PLI scheme which means these funds will be given to those telecom companies that fulfil the PLI scheme criteria in India.
