Today Reliance Jio released the company’s financial results for the third quarter of the financial year 2019-20. In the same report, the company revealed that Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited now has 370 million subscribers as of December 2019.
Apart from this, the company says that out of these 370 million customers, they acquire 14.8 million in the last quarter of the financial year 2019. The company stated that they had 355.2 million subscribers as of September 2019, while by December 2019, they now have 370 million subscribers. Apart from this, in the year 2019, the company has achieved a total of 135.7 million subscribers. At the same time, the company also said year by year; they saw 32.1 percent growth in their subscriber base.
Talking about the Average Revenue per User, the company said that as of September 2019, the ARPU of Reliance Jio was Rs 120, which has increased to Rs 128.4 by the end of December 2019. That is, in the last quarter, the company has also recorded an increase in ARPU.
Jio says that in the last quarter, every month, on average, a user consumes 11.1 GB of data. Apart from this, a user has used 760 minutes of voice calls every month in the last quarter.
The company also reported that implementing interconnect usage charges resulted in a loss of 22 million subscribers in the previous quarter as well as a 48 percent reduction in call traffic to other networks.
However, in spite of all this, Reliance Jio has currently become India’s largest company in terms of subscribers.
