Popular Instant Messaging Platform WhatsApp is building a UWP Desktop App which you can use without your Phone.
This Thursday, WaBetaInfo pops a tweet on their official Twitter Handle explaining WhatsApp building a Universal Windows Platform app. They say one can use WhatsApp via this App without even turning on their Phone.
Those of you who don’t know What UWP is? It’s a platform. Moreover, the App developed on this platform works on Windows 10, Windows Phone, Xbox, and more.
Right now, If you want to use WhatsApp on your PC, the server requires the WhatsApp in your Phone in an active state. However, that is not with the case of UWP. UWP is a native app. Therefore, I think you don’t even have to open your browser in your PC to use WhatsApp.
If this feature becomes a reality, it helps companies who manage their customers via WhatsApp thats because typing is more convenient in Desktop environment.
Well, For now, I can say don’t dive down to think more about this feature because right now WaBetaInfo team aren’t sure. On the other side, I think we have to wait for a while for the official confirmation.
