Earlier, to avail the same features one should have to enroll in GitHub paid plans that ranges from Team, Enterprise, and GitHub One subscription. However, now the company assert that every developer on earth should have access to GitHub and price shouldn’t be a barrier. That’s why making all the core features of GitHub available for free to everyone.

Core Features of GitHub

Talking about the core features of GitHub includes making private repositories with unlimited collaborators, CI/CD, Project management, Code Review, packages and more.

Although GitHub announced to provide all their core features for free to everyone, some advanced features like Code Owners, SAML, and personal support still need a paid plan to get.

GitHub Paid Plan

Now, Talking about the paid plan, GitHub also has reduced the subscription cost of its Team Plan from $9 per month to $4 per month. The enterpise subscription however is available at $21 per month. Users who already enrolled for GitHub Team Plan at $9 per month get the reduced charge ($4 per month) immediately as per the same announcement.
